Live Phytoplankton (Nannochloropsis )

The perfect nutrition for your reef inhabitants, directly feeding some, and indirectly feeding others by increasing the organisms which are their food supply.

Animals that directly feed on Phytoplankton include clams, feather duster worms, tunicates, sponges, soft corals and zooplankton (copepods and invertebrate larvae) that are prey for stony corals. There is evidence that soft corals, along with Goniopora and Gorgonians may also benefit from the direct consumption of phytoplankton.

Grosvenor Tropical's live nannochloropsis sp. are harvested fresh from our own cultures and are a great addition to your reef tank, encouraging thriving nano-cultures which in turn promote healthy corals and invertebrates.

For typical aquariums of 150lt and above add a full bottle once per week. For smaller aquariums such as nano-tanks use approximately half a bottle.
