Grosvenor Tropicals fully supports the OATA's policy on the humane treatment of livestock offered for sale. We reserve the right to refuse any sale where we believe that the customer is unable to provide a suitable environment for care of that species. It is also our policy NOT to supply Goldfish to Stallholders, Traders or Organisations seeking to offer them for sale or as prizes at Fairs or Fetes etc.

Pond

With the pond season well underway stocks of outdoor fish are selling fast, but don't panic, new consignments are arriving from quarantine almost daily.

Most popular are the Koi, and we have a wide selection in stock ranging from 2" - 3" Koi at only £2.95 right up to 18" at £85.00. Extremely popular this year is our 8" fish at only £30. Bright and healthy with strong vibrant colours these are fantastic value-for-money and are selling fast.

Still popular of course are the humble Goldfish, Comets and Shubunkins. These hardy fish are a great asset to any pond and are easy to keep and breed. They are lively and colourful and will often feed from their owners hand.

Unfortunately, as in previous years, local Government restrictions mean that we cannot import other coldwater species, even from the UK mainland. This measure was introduced a few years ago to prevent several diseases which had appeared in UK waters from spreading to the province. The local agencies are keeping this under constant review and we can only hope that things will improve quickly to the point where these restrictions can be lifted.

For those who are looking for bigger specimen fish we do have large Koi available up to 30". Obviously these monsters are much to big to display in the shop, but if you have the room to house such a fish then please contact any of the staff for further details.
