Nowadays, as with Tropical species, all Marine
fish which we offer for sale are from internationally regulated and
sustainable sources. Many, such as the clown fish, are actually tank
breed, while others, sometimes described as "wild caught", are in
reality from managed reefs something akin to free-range fish farms. The
same is also true for Corals which are now cultured in an eco-friendly
way rather than being plundered from the natural reefs.
Flame Angel Centropyge loriculus
Arguably
the most colourful of the dwarf angels, the Flame Angel is certainly a
stunning fish with it's bright red in colour with black vertical bands
on each side of its body. Undoubtedly the most popular and well known of
all dwarf Angels.
These fish do very well in aquariums and prefer lots of rockwork to feel
comfortable. While it is unwise to suggest that any species dwarf
angelfish is totally "reef safe", this species is typically the best
behaved. A good diet with plenty of variety and lots of live
rock to browse upon will usually persuade these characters to leave your
coral alone.
