Nowadays, as with Tropical species, all Marine
fish which we offer for sale are from internationally regulated and
sustainable sources. Many, such as the clown fish, are actually tank
breed, while others, sometimes described as "wild caught", are in
reality from managed reefs something akin to free-range fish farms. The
same is also true for Corals which are now cultured in an eco-friendly
way rather than being plundered from the natural reefs.
Coral Beauty Centropyge Bispinosa
A colourful fish with a deep purple body and orange vertical bars through mid section. The entire body is outlined with bright blue.
Typical of the dwarf angels they are found close to the reef where they use crevices for shelter.
In the aquarium they can take some time to settle in, but once at home they will accept a wide
variety of dried and frozen food.
One of the more aggressive of the dwarf angels and will not tolerate
any other related species in the aquarium. It is also somewhat
unpredictable in a reef tank and is known to browse on Polyps, Tubeworms and Clams.
