Nowadays, as with Tropical species, all Marine
fish which we offer for sale are from internationally regulated and
sustainable sources. Many, such as the clown fish, are actually tank
breed, while others, sometimes described as "wild caught", are in
reality from managed reefs something akin to free-range fish farms. The
same is also true for Corals which are now cultured in an eco-friendly
way rather than being plundered from the natural reefs.

Strikingly contrasted in its bright Yellow and dark Blue colouration
the Bicolour Angelfish are easily recognisable even by newcomers
to the hobby. Bicolour Angelfish inhabit rubble areas in lagoons
and on reef slopes. They use crevices in the reef for shelter.
Although commonly seen in pairs or in small groups in the wild, in
the aquarium they tend to be quite aggressive towards others of the same
or related species. In the wild they can be somewhat reclusive, not
venturing far from their hiding places in the rock. It is a good idea to
provide plenty of hiding places in your tank as well since it should
help make them feel more secure. Providing live rock has a secondary
benefit of being a food source that will allow them to graze in between
meals. Feeding them is not difficult since they should go after most
fish foods including frozen and flakes but some hobbyists have reported
that this is not the case. If you have difficulty getting yours to start
eating, try frozen or live foods at first and then slowly wean them onto
other fish food.
The Bicolour Angelfish is found in tropical marine waters of the
Western Pacific, from Malaysia, north to Japan, south to Australia and
east to Fiji. Generally considered as Reef Safe, it will graze on algae
but may occasionally nibble on some polyps and Clams.
